She was a nurse working double shifts, intimidated by legal jargon and unable to afford a lawyer's hourly rates. He was twelve when she came home crying after a court appearance she didn't fully understand, having missed a filing deadline because no one explained it to her in plain language. That moment—seeing a smart, capable woman rendered helpless by inaccessible information—planted a seed. David decided then that he wanted to demystify the law for people like his mother.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Portland State University in 2010, followed by a Paralegal Certificate from the University of Washington's Professional Development program in 2012. To deepen his expertise, he pursued specialized training in family law through the American Bar Association's Paralegal Advanced Competency examination, which he passed in 2014. These credentials formed the foundation, but his education never truly stopped—he's attended dozens of continuing legal education seminars and maintains active memberships in both the Washington State Paralegal Association and the National Federation of Paralegal Associations.

David's career began at Morrison & Associates, a mid-sized family law firm in Seattle, where he spent four years handling everything from divorce filings to custody negotiations. The work was emotionally demanding but formative. He learned to read financial disclosures, draft settlement agreements, and—most importantly—communicate with clients whose worlds were falling apart. In 2016, he transitioned to personal injury law at Cascade Legal Group, managing complex cases involving car accidents, medical malpractice, and workplace injuries. Most recently, from 2019 to present, David has worked at Meridian Business Law Partners, where he specializes in small business litigation and contract review. This role expanded his understanding of corporate structures, employment disputes, and commercial disputes—knowledge that rounded out his expertise across three distinct legal domains.

What distinguishes David is his refusal to hide behind legalese. Early in his career, he began writing internal client guides and educational materials. His supervisors noticed. At each firm, they asked him to handle client communications precisely because his explanations actually made sense.
